'Pull up' - Freddy De Waele

After being educated as a chocolatier, Freddy De Waele started teaching in a Belgian hotel school, for forty years. He dedicated himself to perfecting his chocolate design skills, taking many years of sculpting and drawing classes at an art academy. After these experiences, he developed a passion with working with bronze; he wanted to expand his range from just chocolate. Freddy draws his inspiration from the many art exhibitions he attends, in his home-country and as well as abroad. Many of his sculptures are complex, turbulent, and have deeply pocketed surfaces in bronze; he was greatly influenced by the prolific French sculptor, Auguste Rodin of the late-1800's
