Freddy De Waele was educated as a chocolatier and worked as a teacher in a well-known Belgian hotel school for forty years. To optimize his chocolate designing skills, he took many years of sculpting and drawing classes at the art academy. From this experience, his passion to also work with bronze grew because he wanted to bypass the limitations of chocolate. Freddy De Waele draws his inspiration from the many art exhibitions he attends at home and abroad, and the work of Rodin also remains a source of inspiration.
