Linde Ergo comes from a family of artists and grew up in an art-filled home. She studied sculpture at the Academy of Arts of Uccle and obtained her Master’s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium. Linde moved to Manhattan in 1992 and studied further at the Sculpture Center of Manhattan for eight years. It was there that she began exhibiting her work . Today, she again gains her inspiration in Belgium, at the quaint seaside village of De Haan. Linde's sensual, meditative sculptures express a universal language. Her intricate figures, whether standing, sitting, or embracing, evoke our deepest emotions, and explain her slow and sudden rise as a sculptor to watch on the European art scene.
