Rustic Rural Homestead

Located in the Hawkesbury Valley this 1970's house was completely gutted internally and transformed into a rustic rural property. . Working with the client we located reclaimed timbers from Australian wool stores. Posts were re milled, floorboards re sized and wire brushed to provide a rustic ambiance. Over a year we located key pieces in Europe for the interior such as a 4 metre 19th century florist table and various pieces of industrial furniture. Large 25 year old Japanese Maples and Gleditsias were brought to site and planted using cranes. The exterior areas were landscaped using both recycled bricks and local sandstone with a combination of native Grevilleas Lilli Pillis and some traditional planting such as a rustic pergola covered in Wisteria.
